PUBLICATIONS

Abstracts

An Abstract book will be distributed to registered participants at the Symposium on location.

Proceedings

A hard-cover book of Proceedings will be published by Springer, Dordrecht, The Netherlands, following the Symposium. It will contain the texts of all accepted papers (at most 10 printed pages each), a list of the titles and authors of all papers presented at the Symposium, a list of all participants in the Symposium. Registered participants may order copies of the Proceedings at or before the Symposium for a substantially reduced price. Full-length manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before being included in the Symposium proceedings. The deadlines are 28 April 2007, submission of manuscripts; 15 July 2007, acceptance notified to authors; 25 September 2007, submission of revised manuscripts. Programme

A booklet summarizing session locations and times, social events, and accompanying persons programme will be distributed to registered participants.

List of participants

A preliminary list of participants attending the Symposium will be distributed at the Symposium. The official list will appear in the Symposium Proceedings.

TRAVEL GRANTS

The IUTAM grant allocated for the Symposium is available to help those participants who are unable to obtain full reimbursement from other sources. The grant can be used only to refund travel and subsistence costs of these participants and no part of the grant can be spent for other purposes. At the discretion of the Scientific Committee, IUTAM travel grants may be promised to certain participants in advance but no advance payments may be effected.

REGISTRATION FEE

The advance registration fee for Congress participants is €200 received before March 31, 2007. Thereafter, a late registration fee of €250 shall apply. The registration fee will include the cost of all lunches, refreshment breaks, and the book of proceedings. A special programme of social events, including excursions to places of particular interest will be arranged for accompanying persons.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

Downtown Tbilisi may be reached from the airport (the Tbilisi airport is about 20 km from the city center) by the following means:

  • Bus number 37 via city centre to central railway station.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND VISAS

Travel documents: holders of EU, USA, Switzerland, and FSU countries’ except Byelorussian and Russian passports need not a visa to enter Georgia. Visas to holders of Byelorussian, Russian, Brazilian, Bulgarian, and South African passports can be granted at the Tbilisi airport. If you require an invitation to the symposium for visa purposes, please contact the IUTAM Symposium Secretariat at the earliest opportunity in advance.
