FORMAT AND STRUCTURE
The technical program will be held over
eight half-days with a total of about 40 lectures. Each presentation will be
scheduled for 35 minutes including discussion time. Poster presentations are forseen as well. Generous time will be scheduled at refreshment breaks and social
events, in order to maximize the scientific interaction and intellectual
exchange between participants. The abstracts of all accepted presentations will
be available at registration. Proceedings will be published later.
PARTICIPATION
The number of
speakers at the Conference will be strictly limited and preference will be
given to active researchers in the field. The selection of papers for
presentation at the Conference and publication in the proceedings will be the
responsibility of the Scientific and Organizing Committees.
ABSTRACTS
AND PROCEEDINGS
One page
abstracts should be submitted in LaTex format (preferably via e-mail) before
May 1, 2006. The abstract should contain the title of the presentation, names of the
authors, affiliation, e_mail and title of session. Full-length
manuscripts will be peer reviewed before being included in the Conference
proceedings, which will be published by Tbilisi University Press.
The Deadlines
for delivering manuscripts (April 28, 2007) and, following peer-review, revised
manuscripts (September 25, 2007) not more than 10 pages.
The submission of the abstracts is continued before
July 1, 2006.
REGISTRATION
Please indicate your intention to
participate in the Conference, either as a speaker or as an attending
participant, by submitting the Registration form, either by mail, fax or E-mail
to the Conference Secretariat. The registration fee of 250 Euros will include
the cost of all lunches, refreshment breaks, official receptions and the book
proceedings. A special programme of social events, including excursions to
places of particular interest as well as the Conference receptions and banquet,
will be arranged for accompanying persons.
VENUE
AND ACCOMMODATION
The Conference will
be held in Tbilisi (at the Tbilisi State University), the capital of Georgia,
which has an optimal geographical central location at the boundary of Europe
and Asia and accessibility by plane (Tbilisi International Airport), by
train or by car. At the end of April a
pleasant weather is expected with a maximum temperature at about 20°C.
